sports and change: is the Missouri case just the first?
After years of highly-public, well-planned efforts to increase student-athlete voice and opportunity (i.e., O’Bannon case, unionization discussions), a few days of protest and change in Missouri may have the biggest impact yet. Student-athletes, coaches, and administrators will increasingly need to define their stances across a spectrum of issues…with high stakes for their campuses and communities.
