Edward Hubbard
My initial training was at the University of California, Berkeley where I studied cognitive science (BA) and the University of California, San Diego where I studied experimental psychology and (MA and PhD). I then held post-doctoral appointments at INSERM Cognitive Neuroimaging Unit with Stanislas Dehaene in France and the Educational Cognitive Neuroscience Lab with Bruce McCandliss (now at Stanford) in Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. Our research uses functional MRI to explore the neural basis of numerical and mathematical abilities in children.

Annabelle Presly
My name is Annabelle Presly and I am a junior majoring in Neurobiology and Psychology. In the future, I would like to attend medical school will the long-term goal of working in pediatrics. Outside of the lab, I volunteer at the children’s hospital and work in the Child Development Lab. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, and spending time outdoors!
Alyssa Braeger
My name is Alyssa Braeger and I am a senior majoring in Neurobiology with a certificate in Science Communication. My long term career goal is to become a physical therapist as well as contribute to the current body of scientific knowledge through research. I am very excited to continue working in the lab for a fourth semester! Outside of the lab I enjoy spending time with friends and family, baking, reading, and going to the gym.
