Postdoctoral Research Associate I am excited to be joining the lab as a postdoc. My training began with a BA in Cognitive Science at U.C. Berkeley, followed by an MSc in Functional Neuroimaging at Brunel University, and then and EdD from Harvard Graduate School of Education. As a doctoral student I worked at the Gabrieli Lab at MIT. I am interested in how people learn and use abstract and relational concepts, in connections between symbolic and non-symbolic representations, how these abilities develop through the lifespan, and the development of neural systems underlying these abilities. I believe that understanding these phenomena will provide insights that can be used in education through curriculum design, instructional strategies, and/or teacher training. I have taught undergraduate courses in cognitive science, psychology, and statistics at Cal State University East Bay, St. Mary’s College of California, Mills College, and U.C. Berkeley.
