In Annie Lowrey&#8217;s NYT article&#8230;<!--more--> &#8230;on the lives of today&#8217;s poor (<a title=\"nyt poverty\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/05\/01\/business\/economy\/changed-life-of-the-poor-squeak-by-and-buy-a-lot.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/05\/01\/business\/economy\/changed-life-of-the-poor-squeak-by-and-buy-a-lot.html?_r=0<\/a>), this quote from a man who works three jobs, seven days a week jumped out:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard on my psyche,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s no break. There\u2019s no time to breathe. I always have to think about the next step just to survive.
