{"id":205,"date":"2016-12-22T02:57:27","date_gmt":"2016-12-22T02:57:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/kausderau\/?page_id=205"},"modified":"2017-08-17T21:31:45","modified_gmt":"2017-08-17T21:31:45","slug":"volunteers-needed","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/kausderau\/index.php\/volunteers-needed\/","title":{"rendered":"Study Participants Needed!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><em>We are currently seeking participants for the following studies:<\/em><\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1.We are looking for mother and child volunteers\u00a0to take part in a study regarding feeding disorders in children ages 1 to 7 years with autism spectrum disorders.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Participation would include:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">A video-recorded mealtime interaction in which a mother will feed her child both preferred and non-preferred food.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Mother and child will both be attached to heart rate monitors to track physiological response.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Total participation would last for approximately 1 hour.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>2. We are looking for volunteers to take part in a study regarding accessibility to health-promoting occupations for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Volunteers must be\u00a0adults\u00a0over the age of 18 who have an\u00a0Intellectual Disability\u00a0and are no longer enrolled in high school programming.<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Participation would include:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #808080;\">Using a camera to take photos in your day-to-day life of what you think it means to be healthy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #808080;\">Provide a narrative description of the photos you took.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #808080;\">Reflect and discuss your photos with fellow participants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The study will last a duration of 6 weeks and will include 1 training session, 1-4 photo taking sessions, and 1-3 interview and or focus group session.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">As a token of appreciation, you will receive $15 at the conclusion of the study.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To participate in this study, please complete a short survey to enter your contact information:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/uwmadison.co1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_eLtvVTQryrbtVSR\">I want more information about this study!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Or email Brittany St. John directly at: \u00a0<a href=\"mailto:bstjohn@wisc.edu\">bstjohn@wisc.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>3.
