{"id":164,"date":"2012-09-28T18:53:44","date_gmt":"2012-09-28T18:53:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/halverson\/?page_id=164"},"modified":"2019-03-18T19:57:11","modified_gmt":"2019-03-18T19:57:11","slug":"c-a-l-l","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/halverson\/?page_id=164","title":{"rendered":"CALL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/halverson\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2012\/09\/CALL-Rubrics.pdf\">Call Rubrics<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/halverson\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2012\/09\/02-IES-SLAT-Narrative-092508.pdf\">CALL IES Proposal<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<a title=\"Call Rubrics\" href=\"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/halverson\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2012\/09\/CALL-Rubrics.pdf\">Sample Survey<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The<em> Comprehensive Assessment of Leadership for Learning <\/em><strong>(CALL)<\/strong> is an on-line formative assessment and feedback system for middle and high schools designed to measure school-wide leadership for learning practices from the perspective of school leaders and staff. \u00a0\u00a0<strong>CALL<\/strong> is the first validated 360\u00b0 formative assessment that captures measures of leadership tasks across various school settings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>CALL<\/strong> on-line survey and feedback system was developed and validated at the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wcer.wisc.edu\"> Wisconsin Center for Education Research<\/a> through a four-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The survey assesses school-wide leadership in five domains:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Focus on Learning<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Monitoring Teaching and Learning<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Building Nested Learning Communities<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. Acquiring and Allocating Resources<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">5. Maintaining a Safe and Effective Learning Environment<\/p>\n<p>CALL provides itemized data on user responses and includes reports that provide guided feedback and suggestions to improve leadership for learning. Once a school community has completed CALL, school leaders may return to compare measures, distribute customized reports for specific groups, and track changes over time.<\/p>\n<p>The task-based focus of the survey emphasizes the work that needs to be done to improve student learning, rather than the disposition or character of leaders.
