Annabelle Presly<\/h3>\n

My name is Annabelle Presly and I’m a sophomore double majoring in Neurobiology and Psychology. This is my first semester in the lab, and I am incredibly excited to gain experience, work with children, and learn from those involved in the lab already! Outside of the lab, I volunteer at the Goodman community center in their preschool program and participate in University Band. In my free time, I enjoy reading, snowboarding, going to concerts, and traveling!<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Hi! My name is Devon, and I am a junior majoring in Neurobiology with a certificate in Gender and Women\u2019s Studies. After graduating, I hope to pursue a career in the medical field as a physician assistant. This is my first semester in the Educational Neuroscience lab, and I am super excited to gain research experience in the neuroscience field and discover more about how kids learn. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, exploring Madison, and spending time with family and friends.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Outside of the lab, I am a member of Delta Delta Delta and Wisconsin Pre-Medical Society. After graduation, I am hoping to go to med school. Outside of school I work as a CNA and volunteer at the UW hospital, and I also teach an after school program at Randall Elementary school. My name is Leila Tannous and I am a fourth year undergraduate double majoring in neurobiology and psychology! I am interested in neuropsychology and clinical psychology, and hope to get a PhD after my undergrad. This is my first semester in the lab, and I am looking forward to learning more about educational neuroscience and understanding its connections to the neuroscientific field. Outside of the lab I am a member of All University Strings and the Learning and Transfer Lab. I also work for Achieving Collaborative Treatment, and love to spend time outside!<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

When I\u2019m not in the lab, I co-founded and actively participate in Packages for Patients, a club dedicated to making and donating blankets to the children\u2019s hospital. My name is Megan Shebuski, and I am a senior majoring in Psychology and Educational Policy Studies, with a certificate in Disability Rights and Services. I am super excited to begin in the lab over the summer, and to gain experience with research while learning more about educational neuroscience! Additionally, I am excited to work with children in a research setting! Outside of the lab, I am the saxophone Rank Leader in the UW-Marching Band, a member of the Badger Band IDEA Team, and a member of Psi Chi. In my free time, I love to cook with my boyfriend and go on walks around Madison. After attaining my bachelor\u2019s degree, I hope to attend graduate school for School Psychology and work with elementary school children.<\/p><\/div>\n

After graduation, I plan to pursue a master\u2019s degree and a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on child development. Outside of the lab, I work as a psychology intern at Achieving Collaborative Treatment (ACT). My long-term goal is to become a Neurosurgeon while also contributing to the scientific community through research. I am excited to begin my work in the lab and to gain hands-on research experience. Hi! My name is Ayesha Rizvi, and I am a junior majoring in Neurobiology and earning a certificate in Criminal Justice. I am beyond excited to join this team to continue developing research on the brain. Outside the lab but still academically related, I conduct independent research on how racial disparities affect different institutions, including healthcare, and other research! I work for United Cerebral Palsy of Dane County and provide respite care to kids with neurological diagnoses. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, pets, and friends! My loved ones are always my biggest supporters, so making time for them is crucial for me! I love cooking and creating little trinkets for fun.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
