{"id":229,"date":"2014-02-27T16:50:01","date_gmt":"2014-02-27T16:50:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/art554\/?p=229"},"modified":"2014-02-27T16:50:01","modified_gmt":"2014-02-27T16:50:01","slug":"digital-salon-call-for-submissions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/art554\/digital-salon-call-for-submissions\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Salon Call for Submissions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>CALL for SUBMISSIONS &#8212; DIGITAL SALON 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SPRING deadline:<\/strong> Wednesday, March 12, 2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission form:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/go.wisc.edu\/digitalsalon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">go.wisc.edu\/digitalsalon<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The UW-Madison Libraries and DesignLab will host the fifth annual Digital Salon, a one-week exhibition of digital media projects by UW undergraduate and graduate students from Sunday, April 6 through Saturday, April 12, 2014. \u00a0This exhibition of new media projects showcases artistic and research-based projects that take digital form or rely heavily on information technology in the production process. Work might include podcasts, experimental videos, animations, graphic essays, websites, blogs, multimedia installations, posters, etc.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Digital Salon projects will be curated by a committee of UW-Madison faculty and staff<\/li>\n<li>Projects will be exhibited in College Library&#8217;s Open Book Caf\u00e9 and online<\/li>\n<li>The Curation Committee will recognize best projects in several categories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work from previous exhibitions can be visited online:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/uwdigitalsalon.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">uwdigitalsalon.<wbr \/>blogspot.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is the second round of submissions. The students who submitted projects in the Fall have been notified if their project(s) were accepted.
