{"id":198,"date":"2014-02-15T18:17:29","date_gmt":"2014-02-15T18:17:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/art554\/?p=198"},"modified":"2014-02-15T18:17:29","modified_gmt":"2014-02-15T18:17:29","slug":"video-glass-optics-of-the-lens-at-oxbow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.education.wisc.edu\/art554\/video-glass-optics-of-the-lens-at-oxbow\/","title":{"rendered":"Video + Glass: Optics of the Lens at OxBow"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>I listed OxBow already under &#8220;Summer Opportunities,&#8221; but I thought I should share this personal plea from Kim since you all enjoyed her stay so much . . .<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Dear Colleagues,<\/div>\n<p>Charlotte Potter and I will be co-teaching the class &#8220;Video + Glass: Optics of the Lens&#8221; this summer at Ox-bow.<\/p>\n<p><b>Please share with your students, colleagues, and friends!<\/b><\/p>\n<p>All my best,<br \/>\nKim<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ox-Bow offers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A variety of for-credit and non-credit courses in Painting\/Drawing, Glassblowing, Ceramics, Metals\/Sculpture, Printmaking, Papermaking, Photography, Fiber, Film, Video, &amp; New Media, Art History, and Science.<\/li>\n<li>Fellowships and Merit Scholarships.<\/li>\n<li>Summer and Fall Residencies.<\/li>\n<li>Work Scholarship and Six Credit Special for SAIC students.<\/li>\n<li>Ox-Bow also fulfills a portion of the SAIC off-campus study requirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Classes run from June 1-August 16, and students can earn 1 credit for a one-week course, 3 credits for a two-week course, or take courses for non-credit. For course information click\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mailthis.neotericdesign.com\/t\/r-l-pijdhe-l-j\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fellowship and Merit scholarship applications are due February 23rd.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Ox-Bow offers a variety of scholarships for students taking credit or non-credit classes.<\/p>\n<p>Applying is easy, just fill out the application and we will figure out what you qualify for! Applications for the fellowship are online\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mailthis.neotericdesign.com\/t\/r-l-pijdhe-l-t\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>\u00a0and scholarships\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mailthis.neotericdesign.com\/t\/r-l-pijdhe-l-i\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In-person registration for SAIC students begins Monday, March 17th at 8:30 a.m. at the Ox-Bow office.<\/strong>\u00a0Students interested in work scholarships MUST register in person. Work scholarships are first come, first serve. \u00a0SAIC financial aid is available to eligible students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Open on-line registration begins March 31st at 8:30 a.m.\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mailthis.neotericdesign.com\/t\/r-l-pijdhe-l-d\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
