The University of Wisconsin Zoology Museum houses an historically significant collection of hand-blown glass models depicting marine invertebrate animals created by Leopold Blaschka and his son, both German glassmakers, and purchased by Professor, later President, Edward A. Birge in 1890 for use in teaching. Learn about the manufacture and history of these unusual and rare models as well as current plans for the conservation and restoration of the collection.
